Yep. I know a guy whose dad was an engineer for Boeing doing something space related. He’s now a flat earther because his particular flavor of Christianity says so.

Honestly, nothing crazy. Things that have elecited reactions include traveling all over the place solo, scuba diving, sky diving, hopping into a four seater plane when it’s raining and foggy, getting up in front of people singing… Nothing really big, but the number of times people have said, “I could never do that!” that have coincided with me thinking, “This conversation is way more stressful than that!” is kind of funny.
I do a lot of things that people are afraid to do and it feels so easy for me… and yet simple social interaction can be so incredibly stressful.
I’ve also found you can go through your history and add videos marked as Kids that way.
Yeah, it’s this weird mixed bag thing. In the US, I’ve found myself being able to pull people who were originally registered Republican fairly far left. People who bought a lot of the conservative propaganda but couldn’t stomach Trump are now starting to wake up a bit, at least in my personal experience. But the ones who are still in the party are full of nothing but hate, and there are still plenty of them there.
Moms for Liberty was trying to take over our school board, and thanks to a lot of canvassing, phone banking, and fundraising, they failed!
I was planning on going as Poison Ivy to a Halloween karaoke party tomorrow, but I’m dealing with a cold right now so I don’t think I’ll be going. Kind of bummed about that, but I think I’ll have a better time just staying home in my PJs than if I forced myself to dress up and go out when I’m not feeling great. And anyway I don’t want to risk getting anyone sick even though I’m probably not contagious anymore. I’m going to see if I can modify it to make it more school appropriate (I’m an elementary teacher) without spending extra money and wear it to work Tuesday.
Thanks for the info about “duh.” I had no idea!
Totally anecdotal, but I’ve reported a couple of non-existant roads to Google. I occasionally check because I’m curious if they ever updated them, but Google still tells me to drive through a walking path and walk through a fenced off private property. It’s been years at this point. I don’t have an iPhone so I don’t have any experience with Apple maps, but maybe they’re better at taking user reports into account?
Absentee is the way to go! It’s so nice being able to fill out my ballot as I research the weirdly worded state or city ballot measures that were off my radar from the comfort of my own couch.
