The phone number requirement is a recent change I believe to deter people from creating multiple accounts, so any old timers probably didn’t have to use a phone number to sign up.

To be honest I’ve got a bunch of CDs, DVDs and game discs etc. Never stored in a shed or attic and many have rot. They tend to be particular labels, publishers or manufacturers. For example I have a few BBC audio CDs and most of those within a certain range of years have succumbed. I personally wouldn’t store these in a shed but I wouldn’t be surprised if the same thing happened under any conditions. I now use ODEs where feasible or FPGA. My game discs are mostly for looks now.
The Switch is “okay”. You can set a daily limit and an end time. As well as allowing or blocking titles. You can’t set more granular sessions times, or even a start time. And “bedtime” cannot be earlier than 4pm. It’s all a bit limited compared to Xbox from example, but it’s okay. You control the times from a mobile app.
Nope
Great post. I played the Speccy version a lot back in the day. Although I was never anything other than very bad at it.
I had that Thompson Twins flexi disc from C&VG and could never get it to load.
For what it’s worth the New 2DS XL is my favorite variant of all the DS models.
I’ve done the trimming in the past, but my preference now is to keep the original shells original (and store in my parts storage for repairs or later sale) and use or trim aftermarket ones for mods.
I’ve recently switched from Windows to Linux and generally I’m using Lazygit on the terminal or SourceGit on the desktop. SourceGit is by and large a very similar UI to Sourcetree but faster (and open source / cross platfrom)
