Yes. Any instances that are linked with your current instance basically become one—all communities, posts, and comments become intertwined into one big social network and you can interact freely. They were a donation platform for community projects and open-source projects. Their main thing was that all donations and expenses by an entity are public, so there’s a lot of transparency with who and where the money goes that you donate. Really sad to lose them
