I feel you there. I’m just about at that point, although I also need better support for music software (FL studio, VSTs, etc) and hardware before I can fully switch.

Some users are even going as far as to switch to a new browser.
As someone who changes browsers regularly on a whim, I love how big of a deal this is to the average person.
Passkeys are asymmetric, meaning that the server only ever sees your public key. If the server gets breached, then only your public key is leaked, which isn’t a big deal. Functionally, it’s almost identical to SSH keys.

As for different use cases, you can create different “vaults” for different applications. For example, I have a vault for work, and a vault for personal. They’re basically just different folders on your computer, but it helps keep differentiation.
They can still track you by other data such as IP, user agent, and system info. I don’t know that they’re doing this for sure, but I have a hunch that they are. It’s google lol

Different strokes for different folks, but I wish markdown was in everything. I love the simplicity of it and how easy it is to bold, italicize, make a header, etc. while typing. I’ll take markdown over docs or word any day of the week.
