What was wrong with Joplin? I was thinking about giving it a try.

It’s just a ceremonial thing, they don’t have any actual power. Plus it makes money for the country. There’s not really any reason to get rid of them and King Charles is always pushing anti-climate change stuff so he’s actually using his influence to try and help.
Actually loads of people do.
I haven’t clarified this with the ultimate source of all truth (ChatGPT) but I’m pretty sure there’s not actually that many countries that officially recognise Taiwan as anything independent country.
Want Doom64 supposed to be Doom 3?
I’m from around the same time and the amount of content to get through nowadays is insane by comparison. I could easily go and pick up a game that’s 10 years old and enjoy without feeling that old, I mean, GTA5 is 10 years old now, and Skyrim’s 13 years old.
In 1996 Mario 64 came out but if you went back 10 years people were still playing the first Super Mario Bros.
I remember defending it online against a bunch of Linux users and I got told that the UAC prompt is overbearing while having to type your password is fine because it’s just “muscle memory”.
Hezbollah have had this coming, they fired rockets at Israel on October 8th. So not because of what Israel was doing to the Palestinians, but in support of what Hamas did on October 7th.
Someone will probably shoot me down for this but I actually find ChatGPT good for explaining concepts to me. Especially when I just want a high level understanding of a concept as I try to understand another one without getting too bogged down. A lot of Google results go into way too much detail.
I don’t think they had much choice when the Europeans rocked up.
Context is everything. Police officers are police officers but they’re also humans and they get stressed and do things that they wouldn’t do if they were thinking clearly. For all we know this guy might otherwise be an upstanding officer who immediately regret what he did.
It’s the UK, not the US. They don’t just let all the police walk around with guns. This guy’s a firearms officer and if they’re called to an incident at an airport then something pretty serious is kicking off.
If you got really stressed at work and made a split second decision that you immediately knew was a bad idea you’d want people to know the context.
I’m not defending kicking the guy in the head, I’m just wondering what it takes for someone to get to that point where they think that’s a good idea.
I’d like to know more context about this whole situation, apparently there was a big kerfuffle and another police officer had to be treated for a broken nose.
This guy looks like some dumbass kid who got himself over-excited after being given a gun and a badge though. He’s probably set his career back by 10 years after this dumbass move.
He got kicked out after he smeared shit all over the walls.
I order from there quite a lot. I’m not really a fan of buying Chinese stuff but all the electronics are made there whatever you do and this way I’m cutting out the man-in-the-middle dickhead types who closed all the local factories and moved production to China just to push up the share prices.
I’ve always found it to be pretty good, remember that you don’t really deal with Ali that much, rather individual shops selling their stuff on there. I’ve had problems with stuff arriving broken before but I’ve usually found their customer service to be pretty amazing, they’ll often replace stuff without much fuss. I once ordered a Bitcoin miner before realising later that it was a scam, and Ali refunded me all the money.
The two main problems are that nothing on there is good quality, it’s all just cheap Chinese stuff. The second problem is that it takes ages for everything to arrive.
I don’t want to bring work into my home, plus I like meeting people. The only problem is the commute.
Just take the bare minimum and spend a night near your car or home, someone you can up and leave at 2am if you need to. Take a shit before you go.
There’s not really any surprises for what you need, just take a tent, sleeping bag, warm enough clothes, a little toilet paper, water and food (just take loads of cereal bars and stuff you don’t need to cook for the first time). The only other thing to take is bin bags so you can clean up any mess you make. You should leave the place you camp as if you were never there. No food on the ground, nothing. Don’t feed the animals.
If you’re feeling extravagant you can take some baby wipes and toothpaste/toothbrush for cleaning but don’t stress yourself on the first time. If you have a garden you can even camp in your garden for the first time just to get a feel for it.
And maybe it’s just my app but I keep seeing the same posts over and over from different groups.
Your provider will just see encrypted traffic (mostly), so yes it will provide protection.
Debian is the Volvo of Linux distros.
I think you could lose your mind doing this. In my garage I have a few pots of various screws sorted by the material they’re made of.
I keep entertaining the idea of sorting them by size, for example, one pot for M8 nuts, bolts, screws, etc. just because it’s obviously easy to tell the difference between a nut and a screw, but not easy to tell the difference between an M8 nut and an M10 nut.
Most stuff just goes in the recycling though.
