  • i’ve had the same thought as you.

i regularly use the sub tab. i watch youtube on weekends while i clean, so usually on friday i’ll check my home page a few times throughout the day, see if there are any interesting recommendations and save them to my watch later.

then in the evening i do one more home page scroll, then i slowly scroll my subs page and make sure i save anything that looks interesting to my watch later. then i might watch one or two videos from my WL that evening and i watch the rest (or what i can fit in) over the weekend.

I don’t get the point of subbing to a channel if you aren’t checking your subs tab. Like…that’s why it’s there lol bc the home page is a bunch of recommendations

  • I use Spotify.

I used to go back and forth a lot but I think I’m sticking with spotify.

I like the design of Apple Music but their recommendations suck.

I find most of my new music by using a button on spotify that’s called enhanced shuffle or something. but you click it on a playlist and it will insert random recommendations that you can easily add to the playlist if you like it.

i love it cause it just mixes it in with your regular music so you can really tell if it flows nicely in that playlist or if it kills the vibe a little.

  • Personally I don’t like it because 1, it’s redundant when the post is already greyed out, and 2, it draws MORE attention to read posts.

Your eyes are naturally drawn there because it’s brighter and looks like a notification, then you realize the post is grey.

Without it, it’s simpler. Read posts are dim, unread posts are bright.

Right now, its unread posts are bright and read posts are dim with a bright icon. Everything has something bright so nothing looks different.

Kinda high so I hope I explained that without sounding stupid
