Wow, from the article you linked here’s one of them plotting to wield a fascist mob against a journalist just like a proper villain, in case there were any doubts:
“If things get hot, it may be interesting to sic the Dark Enlightenment audience on a single vulnerable hostile reporter to dox them and turn them inside out with hostile reporting sent to *their* advertisers/friends/contacts,” Mr. Srinivasan said in an email viewed by The New York Times, using a term, “Dark Enlightenment,” that was synonymous with the neoreactionary movement.
Y Combinator seems like a nexus of creepy and unhinged techbros, I’m not surprised they have a CEO who wields antisemitic conspiracy theories against his critics.
It’s easier if you cut back first so your body gets used to having less of it. I started by only having any before 12pm, then 10am, then I cut out energy drinks entirely, then I’d do part decaf coffee until I finally went full decaf. I definitely noticed some headaches and felt kind of shit occasionally but I don’t remember it being too terrible.
Listening to a slightly boring audiobook has been the most consistently effective method I’ve found. Also, I had to give up caffeine.
It’s possible to be both a useful and trash drug. Benzos are inherently dangerous in ways that lots of other drugs are not, it is very easy to fuck up your life with them.
Robots do vacuuming and mopping at least once a week, some areas more often. I do basic cleaning of the kitchen regularly and more in depth cleaning occasionally. Bathrooms are about the same but less frequent. I find getting stoned really helpful for staying on top of cleaning, it’s a much more enjoyable experience.
I wouldn’t bother unless it’s a small amount of play money you are willing to burn. Reddit has so far not managed to turn a profit after 19 years and Reddit management does not inspire confidence or present themselves as particularly competent. If this is your first investment you would be way better off opening an IRA and buying some VTI or VOO instead of gambling on a risky IPO.
My parents suck. If you have to put up with their shit you’re definitely a loser.
That is not correct. Headphones encompasses a variety of methods of putting speakers next to ears. Earphones are one of many types of headphone. Or actually more than one because colloquially some people refer to a few different form factors of headphones that way. IEMs for example are often also referred to as earphones. Language is sloppy like that.
This seems backwards. Most desktop speakers are shit. If you’re into headphones at all you hopefully will have some that sound better.
I think the more energy efficient will be the second option since you’re not cooling to as low of a temperature. The fan speed change doesn’t seem likely to be a big energy difference, but not having to cool as much is likely to save significant energy.
I’m as vague and boring as possible when it comes to personal details in a professional context. I try not to talk about anything other than work related topics. I’m friendly, polite, and generally helpful towards my coworkers but I keep a solid wall between personal and professional so if it’s not work related I’m engaging at the bare minimum to avoid explicit rudeness and that’s about it.
Can you link to some evidence?
I’ve mentioned it a few times because it’s actually good.
Have your sleeping habits changed with the new job? If you’re not sleeping well regularly that could potentially be a cause.
I do. I use search basically every day and when I’m working I don’t want to waste a bunch of time digging through bullshit if I can help it. Google sucks, $10 a month for a better experience that both saves me time and helps get Google more out of my life is worth it to me.
I started using Kagi a few months ago and have been really happy with it. It’s completely replaced Google search for me. I think it’s saved me a lot of time and helped me avoid a bunch of advertising I otherwise would have been exposed to. Not being incentivized by advertising money like Google is really makes a difference I think. With Kagi you are the actual customer and search is the actual product, with Google search you are the product and the customer is whoever paid Google to insert advertising into your search results.
I always check rtings before I buy a TV.
Kind of the opposite of a lynch mob since they were trying to free the 9 IDF soldiers arrested for raping and torturing prisoners instead of attempting to punish them. I would call this more an attempted prison break, or possibly even a sort of coup against the rule of law by elements of the Israeli government, if its true those ministers were involved.
