Lemmy doesn’t follow mastodon, as far as I know. I like it that way. I was not a fan of mastodon. I made accounts on kbin, Lemmy, and mastodon during the blackout, and Lemmy is the only one I’m still using. I heard of a similar-to-mastodon place called Squabbles, which is NOT part of the fediverse, and I love it there.

I started with accounts on both and found myself liking Lemmy better. I actually haven’t been on kbin in days.

My girl loves her belly rubs. Purrs loudly, acts cute for more when you stop. She jumps into my lap and plops herself in a way that I can get her belly and never moves. My husband’s cat is indifferent. She’s never gotten mad about it and will just walk away if she’s not interested or when she’s had enough. She doesn’t usually ask for belly rubs like mine does, but occasionally she does.

For real, it made me incredibly happy.

I don’t know how old you are, but I grew up before the smoking ban. It was pretty common, and I had several relatives who smoked, but neither of my parents did. Smells bad and makes it hard to breathe, so I’ve always hated it.

I thought I read that the pilot/CEO kept back up controllers on the craft, in case something went wrong with the first. But that still seems janky to me, lol. Wired would make me a lot more comfortable. But, it’s a moot point anyway, since the controller wasn’t the cause of the failure. The carbon fiber is what fucked them.

Can you use your home office days to look for other work that’s closer to home or is wfh? A commute like that is incomprehensible to me. I’m lucky enough that I have never worked more than 20 minutes from my house, and I don’t even apply to jobs that are further away. I understand not everyone can do that she to their industry and costs of living in certain areas, but 3 hours a day of commute is brutal.

In my mind, if you’re missing out on time with your family, especially your child, it’s a no brainier. But, because you have a family to support, you should find a new job before you quit this one. A job you like and quality time at home is better than your dream job and missing all the milestones of growing up.
