Children in Australia under the age of 16 will be banned from social media as part of a push to protect young people’s mental health, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has announced, with the companies involved required to enforce the new regulations or face potential fines.
Surely that will solve the problems of the youth on social media. Not like there are any 12 year olds on 13+ social networks today anyways.

Introducing too strict law which is divorced from the reality is making people to disregard laws in general, not necessarily just this one.
That’s a good thing. Disregarding laws shows that the government actually has no power and showing the government having no power is fantastic to do.
No, it’s a waste of time and resources. Kids will find a way, they ALL do.
That’s just it. Nobody has really tried. This is little more than PR unless there’s actual enforcement.
