What I meant is a retiree crisis. You have been working for 40/50 odd years, and all of a sudden you loose the one thing that gave structure to your life.

Power. And need to feel useful.
Legend!
I think you took it too far.
I won’t agree with you, and I don’t think there is anything positive you want to share.
If somebody is forced (!) to dress in a specific way, that’s wrong. But if somebody chooses (!) to wear them for religious reasons, who am I to judge that?
My point is, there is nothing inherently wrong with burkinis - the context in which some individuals are wearing them might be wrong.
I 100% agree with you, that nobody should be forced to wear something that they don’t want to.
Saying burkinis are dumb is a really dumb thing to say.
For some bucket hats are dumb, but some people wear them. Not your place to judge. Also, it allows people of certain believes to have an equal access to commodities like going to a beach and go for a swim in a public.
In this regards, I would say, they are pretty smart.
What about decentralised solutions like Matrix? I think they would have hard time accessing anything if it’s stored on a private server. EDIT: Or is it on ISP level? So no matter how you access/communicate - it will all be scanned the point when data leaves your device and communicates with web.
I really don’t like that.
Even if it will get dismissed/amended so it doesn’t ruin open and private internet, the direction it’s all going really worries me. Every couple of months/years you will hear that the governments are trying again and again…Eventually they will succeed - enter “1984”
Would VPN protect an individual against such actions?
I noticed that there is one scenario that I get good load times + video with proper framerate: laptop connected to the same network. If it’s on my phone, no matter if it’s the same network, 5G or external network - videos are always choppy…
How could I check that?
But said machine would have to run 24/7 for this to work correct?
I bet you they are as surprised as you are…
Nothing gets me more depressed than climate crisis these days tbh…
I just checked and my router doesn’t allow for DDNS so this option won’t work for me unfortunately.

Which option is it? Also, is it secure?
I’m using QuickConnect relay atm.
I just tested on my local network and it works perfectly fine. It’s only when I’m outside.
So you reckon it’s my connection is bottlenecking the whole operation?
EDIT: I noticed when I’m on my home network, there is no issue with the videos being slow. So it is the connection most likely. Ergo, nothing I can improve unless I upgrade my contract?
I think it might be because I’m running DSM 7 and it’s suggested to have 1gb of RAM when DS216j have 512mb. I think I will try to downgrade to DSM 6
