Well, she’s 12 and likes to play roblox and do funny voice edits on her videos. As I am sure you can guess, it’s stuff like one-click voice modulation which is the big selling point of CapCut for her. So I am guessing ease of use and the ability to at least create and save audio editing presets and do texts and so on is paramount.
I agree that this is not really a need that foss tries to fill which is ok. We tried kdenlive but it seems a little advanced for her needs and wants. I tried Vidcutter and it seems a little too simple (feature-wise, the usability was nice).
We just took a look at ShotCut which seems alright, but I think I am more into it than she is. I hope I can convince her to take a look at it. Thanks!
You should tell her this, basically, and also you guys can call each other. She’s probably also going to miss you heaps, although she’ll also have a new world to explore.
I did go for that 😁 was a simple checkbox in the router settings.
Thanks - I have an icotera i4850 router which claims to support NAT loopback, but I can’t figure out where to do it and it seems like the manual is gone from the internet :) Might have to ask my internet provider if they have a PDF somewhere.
Edit: D’oh, it’s a checkbox in the port forwarding interface! Thanks a bunch, didn’t know what to look for before your reply :)
Never heard of Immich, but it looks absolutely amazing.
You have a point, thx
Thank you, I was able to connect by editing the configuration as suggested in the other comment 🙂
Wonderful, thank you :)
I did see that mentioned in the comments in the file, but I was under the impression that I was using DNS via my simply.com domain DNS-record. Thanks!
Sure. I mean, I am a adult. I never thought adults had things figured out when I was a kid either, seemed pretty obvious they were just trying their best with what they had to work with.
I mean, by all accounts Ukraine has a huge issue with corruption. But it’s hardly the fault of the president, although it is of course part of his job (and platform) to force this to change.
That seems… Immature? I mean, in a general sense the guy on top is responsible for combating corruption, but really it’s usually a systemic and cultural issue as well.
I don’t think it’s clear that they are not trying to minimize civilian casualties, it’s hard to imagine a more targeted attack than the pager attack.
I don’t know what the numbers are like for the Lebanon part of the war, obviously, but in almost all modern conflicts we see that between 25 and 80% of casualties are civilians. I imagine we’re on the high end here as hezbollah like to fight and hide amongst civilians and use them as shields.
I struggle to see how you can combat such an organization without heavy civilian casualties, no matter how you go about it. I’m not saying the Israelis are not making mistakes or even being disproportionate at times, but I just can’t see how you’re going to fight hezbollah without heavy collateral damage.
