I bought a 2021 VW GLI, it has a software component called Car-net that has literally never worked. I don’t even know what it’s supposed to do. The little I’ve found is that it’s supposed to have an app remote start and maybe a few other features, but according tk carnet, my car is still dealer owned. There have been at least six contacts to the car net folks from the dealer about the issue. I have a remote start on my FOB so whatever, but the car software support issue is so real. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Depending on your isp, you may be required to have a business class plan with a static ip. I went through something similar years ago for my business. This is old documentation for Verizon, but it’s a hint.

I never tested positive for covid. I was sick once, but repeatedly tested negative across multiple brands of at home kits. My wife was sick a couple of weeks afterwards, and tested positive at the first sniffle.

And don’t get me wrong, I’m not a antivax person, like at all, I have 5 rona shots now. But if someone tries to suggest with 100% absolute certainty that either covid itself or the toll the vaccine took on me didn’t unlock an underlying autoimmune disorder, I’ll kick em. I’m not saying that the vaccine gave me an autoimmune issue. I’m saying it likely existed prior but was the catalyst.

There is a social aspect to it. For corporate workers, people are almost ostracized and excluded for not ‘being up with the latest big thing’. It’s toxic, and I hope starting to change, but I imagine these would be the primary audience go ogling “barbie movie stream free” and clicking the first ad-ridden site they find.

Just a suggestion, but a short term UI/UX solution for this might be as simple as a badge or label suggesting that X instance is defederated from Y instance and that the users content will only be visible to their home instance.
