Many of the young men who voted red this election already have no close relationships with any women their age. Obviously women should exercise their autonomy as they see fit. I don’t expect it to change how anyone votes.

I’ll probably be downvoted for this, but progressives have spent the last several years actively shutting down lines of communication with men, particularly white men. For the best of reasons, sure, but it hasn’t been an effective strategy for winning elections.

Maybe this would sway some group of center-left men who didn’t bother voting, but realistically I expect it will have no effect on the ongoing polarization, or exagerrate it.

You’re thinking in terms of how we do simulations within our universe. If the universe is a simulation then the machine that is simulating it is necessarily outside of the known universe. We can’t know for sure that it has to play by the same rules of physics or even of logic and reasoning as a machine within our universe. Maybe in the upper echelon universe computers don’t need power, or they have infinite time for calculations for reasons beyond our understanding.

Yes, my comment is assuming if Trump loses this year, I’d bet he’ll try for a second term in 2028.

1. Most people who want him to drop out were never going to vote for him anyway.

2. People (perhaps erroneously) perceive a chance of Biden actually doing it. Trump will never drop out as winning the presidency is his only shot at avoiding incarceration. He’ll probably run again in 2028 if he’s still around by then.

3. Trump isn’t incumbent, meaning the GOP already had a full primary in the past year. They’ve already determined they don’t have a better alternative. Technically the Dems could have nominated someone other than Biden, but it was never a very likely possibility, so people aren’t as familiar with Democratic alternatives.

4. Republicans either don’t believe any of the criticisms you made of Trump are true, are okay with them, still believe him to be the lesser of two evils, or some combination of these. This is largely due to right-wing propaganda e.g. Fox News, OAN, Info Wars, etc.

I’m no expert, these are just what I perceive to be happening. There’s probably other factors at play as well.

Edit: with the recent supreme court rulings, I’m guessing that he may be able to avoid jail even if he doesn’t win. I still don’t see any chance he’ll drop out.

You’ll probably get really sick of cottage cheese, for one. You’ll also lose a lot of weight. In fact you’d be malnourished. Its only about 700-800 calories a day, which is far too few for almost anyone. The weight you lose won’t just be body fat, you’re body will start converting muscle tissue for energy. The most direct I can think of is that men should be the sole breadwinner of their family, and that if his wife earns more than him (or even has a job at all) then that’s some kind of failing on his part.
